Terms

Agreement
By using Yoshi, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it. We keep them short and fair.
What Yoshi is
Yoshi is a journal for your to-dos, food and training, with apps for Mac, iPhone and Android, an optional Cloud service that syncs it and lets AI apps read and write it, and a command-line tool.
Not medical advice
Calories, macros and other numbers in Yoshi, especially the ones an AI guesses, are rough estimates. Yoshi isn't a medical device and doesn't give medical, nutrition or fitness advice. Talk to a professional before making health decisions.
Your data
Your journal is yours. You can export it at any time. You give us permission to store and process it only to run Yoshi for you: to sync it, and to hand it to the AI apps you connect. See the privacy page.
Your responsibilities
- Keep your devices and sign-in secure.
- You decide which AI apps to connect, and you're responsible for what you ask them to do with your journal.
- Don't use Yoshi for anything illegal, and don't abuse or try to break the service.
Plans and payment
- Free stays free: the apps work on your devices without an account.
- Cloud and Cloud + AI are subscriptions that renew monthly or yearly until you cancel. Cancel any time; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
- Cloud + AI includes a fair daily limit on AI requests.
- If you stop paying, your journal stays on your devices.
- Refunds follow the rules of the store you bought through.
Changes
Yoshi is actively developed. Features may change, and bugs may exist (please tell me). We may update these terms; if a change matters, we'll say so in the app or here. Using Yoshi after a change means you accept it.
Intellectual property
Yoshi, its apps and its original content (but not your data) are ours. The Yoshi name, cat and logo are our trademarks.
Limitation of liability
Yoshi is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we're not responsible for lost data, what connected AI apps do, decisions you make based on the numbers in it, interruptions of the service, or any damages from using it. Keep an export if your journal matters to you.
Ending
You can stop using Yoshi at any time and delete your account in Settings. We can suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
